This Friday, a special treat!  Our guest speaker is Dr John Innis, who will be telling us what “our” Observatory was like in its heyday. The title of his talk is: Mount Burnett 1982 – 1987. A retrospective view.

John Innis completed his B.Sc.(Hons) and Ph.D. in the Monash Physics Department in optical astronomy, and used the Mount Burnett Observatory for his studies.  John will talk about some of the observing methods, the science, and other memories from the time.

Following the talk and supper, there will be viewing through the MBO telescopes (weather permitting). If you have a telescope and would like to know how to use it, or alternatively, would like to show it off to us, please bring it along.

Members’ Night is on every Friday night commencing at 8PM (doors open 7:30PM). Guests are always welcome.
