Friday 15th January 2015 – Cam Wylie – Milroy Observatory 40 inch Telescope
8pm this Friday we are lucky to have have Cam Wylie, the Astronomer in Charge of the Milroy Observatory at Coonabarabran, NSW, as our guest speaker.
Synopsis: A talk about the Milroy Observatory 40 inch telescope; its history, its past scientific accomplishments and how it came to be in its new home of Milroy Observatory. My role is to operate the telescope and run Milroy Obs as a working Observatory for the public and science enquiry. The Milroy 40″ is the largest instrument anyone can access easily.
