Friday 24th June 2016 – Melbourne Space Program
7:30pm at Emerald Secondary College Performing Arts Centre – NOT MBO!
Mount Burnett Observatory and Emerald Secondary College are proud to welcome the Melbourne Space Program for an evening of space fun and information. The evening will begin at 7:30 with the centrepiece being a lecture and Q&A on space science by members of the Melbourne Space Program team.
If you want to work in space science but don’t know how to take the first step then this event is for you.
The Melbourne Space Program is pleased to take part in Space Night hosted by the Mount Burnett Observatory and Emerald Secondary College.
The Melbourne Space Program is a team of over 100 ambitious and creative students from the University of Melbourne. Our members come from a range of schools and faculties but share a passion for technology and innovation, and all hope to play a role in the establishment and expansion of the Australian space industry.
In order to achieve our ambitious goal, the team is currently designing and testing a range of different technologies with the view to create innovative nano-satellites. The unique features of these satellites, especially their compact size, enable our team to pursue inventive projects that will impact the telecommunications industries among many others.
If you are interested in getting involved in a space career but don’t quite know how, then come along to the Space Night to learn about the growing aerospace industry in Australia or come by to ask us about our nano-satellite!
