Have you ever wondered if ancient astronomical traditions still exist that speak about the positions of stars as they would have appeared thousands of years ago that are different from today? How can this happen and how long can stories of the stars be passed down while maintaining vitality? Cultural Astronomer and former MBO Committee member Duane Hamacher will take us on a journey through space and time to explore some of the ancient knowledges of the stars that may stretch back over 12,000 years.

Members Night at the Observatory – All our members are welcome to come along no matter what age you are.
Membership commences 0ne (1) week after initial payment is received. This ensures new members receive all communications including our weekly newsletter /weather reports etc. Prior to attending. This then ensures, no new members drive up to find the night has been cancelled due to unforeseen events.
New Members Orientation Night are held once per month; this runs alongside an ordinary member’s night. On this night, if it’s your first visit, you are not permitted to bring any guests to the site. This is so new members get our full attention, and we can answer questions and provide a tour of the facilities without interruption.
Please remember to book a ticket for each person who you are bringing up to the event under your membership, including children. Thanks.
