Young Observers Night at the Observatory
Young Observers Members
For February’s Young Observers, the Constellation of the Month is Taurus. Hovering close to Taurus is the planet, Mars. At this month’s meeting, to be held on Saturday, 25th February, from 7.30 to 9.30 pm, Young Observers will be able to learn many amazing things about the Red Planet. What are the robots crawling and flying around on the surface learning about the planet? How different is this planet from the picture painted in old books like, War of the Worlds” and movies like, “Mars Attacks”? How soon will humans walk on the surface and why is it taking so long? The constellation, Taurus, has many interesting astronomical objects within its boundaries for Young Observers to learn about and, hopefully to look at through the MBO telescopes. We hope to see Young Observers of all ages joining us up at the Observatory.
