The July session for Young Observers is on Saturday 26 July, 7:30-9:30.
The theme is stars – from their nebulous formation to the various ways in which they die. You’ll learn about the types and colours of stars, and the processes that make them shine. There will be practical demonstrations to help us all understand the physics that gives us a night sky full of stars. Depending on the weather, you’ll observe the night sky and understand more about what you are seeing. To wrap up, you’ll invent your own star, based on what you’ve discovered during the session. Snacks are provided, and you are always welcome to bring something to share.
Please make sure to book in for the session, and list everyone (children and their adults) who are coming along.
