Bringing your group to MBO

MBO has an onsite program for schools, scouts and community groups.

This program is now taking bookings for the 2027 season.

Mount Burnett Observatory offers a range of experiences for community groups. Schools and community groups can book the observatory for a night or we can visit you!  Scouts and Schools

Our Schools and Scouts program relaunched in 2022 with content that follows the school and scout curriculum. Sessions are designed to include viewing when conditions allow but always provide a rich experience for the children. For more details about either the Schools Program or Scouts Program please email us at info@mbo.org.au.

Community Groups

MBO always welcomes visits from community groups. We have hosted kinder groups, Probus groups, U3A chapters and car clubs. If you would like to arrange something different for your group, please email us at info@mbo.org.au.  January 2023 saw the launch of our regional visits program with a team of MBO volunteers visiting Towamba on the South coast of NSW, and Benalla Astronomy Group in 2024.
