Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get there?
Do you charge for parking?
Parking is free for members and visitors to our exclusive Outreach events. We do have limited space and parking is not suitable for buses and other large vehicles. If you are coming to any event, please contact us to discuss your parking requirements.
When can I visit the Observatory?
Members of the public need to either book a place on one of our Public Viewing nights or make a group booking. We also run occasional open days for which you don’t need to book.
There is great demand to come look through the telescopes and we are constantly looking at ways to satisfy this demand without overloading our wonderful volunteers.
MBO membership is $50 and is cost effective if you think you will come back more than once. There is also no waiting list for membership.
